Florida Master Gardener program being offered in Calhoun & Liberty counties

MasterGardenerHorizonUF-logoMeeting planned for April 14th

The UF/IFAS Extension Calhoun County, FAMU, and the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement Community Outreach Wellness Initiative (FaithHealthEdEcon—CalhounLiberty) are partnering to offer the Florida Master Gardener Certification Program for both Calhoun and Liberty Counties.

A Master Gardener informational meeting will be held Monday night, April 14, at 6:00 p.m. central time, at the Calhoun County Extension office, 20816 Central Ave East, Blountstown, Florida, 32424, 850-674-8323.

If you enjoy helping others, if you enjoy gardening, and if you enjoy learning about growing vegetables, fruits, and flowers, then you may truly enjoy becoming a Florida Master Gardener!  The Master Gardener program trains and maintains horticulture volunteers for UFRFAS Extension throughout the State of Florida. The goals of this program are to increase the availability of gardening information for the community, and to improve the quality of life for residents of each county in Florida through gardening related volunteer activities.

If you have any questions, please call Calhoun Extension at 850-674-8323. Visit us at 20816 Central Ave East, Blountstown, Florida or visit our website at www.calhoun.ifas.ufl.edu.
